True Colors – Phil Collins

You with the sad eyes
Don’t be discouraged
Oh I realize
It’s hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small

But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

Show me a smile then,
Don’t be unhappy, can’t remember
When I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you’ve taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there

And I’ll see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

We Said Hello Goodbye – Phil Collins

We said goodbye to a dear old friend
And we packed our bags and left feeling sad
It’s the only way
We said hello as we turned the key
A new roof over our heads
Gave a smile
It’s the only way
Only way

Turn your head
And don’t look back
Set your sails for a new horizon
Don’t turn around don’t look down
Oh there’s life across the tracks
And you know it’s really not surprising
It gets better when you get there oh

Well it really don’t matter much where you are
Cos home is in your heart
It’s a feeling that you wake with one day
Some people key p running all their life
And still find they haven’t gone too far
They don’t see it’s the feeling inside – the feeling inside oh

Turn your head and don’t look back
Just set your sails for a new horizon
Don’t turn around don’t look down
Oh there’s life across the tracks
And you know it’s really not surprising
It gets better when you get there

We said hello as we turned the key
A new roof over our heads
Gave a smile – it’s the only way

Both Sides of the Story – Phil Collins

Find yourself in a gutter, in a lonely part of town
Where death waits in the darkness, with a weapon, to cut some strangers down.
Sleeping with an empty bottle, he’s a sad and empty hearted man.
All he need is a job, a little respect, so he can get out while he can.

Ohh! We always need to hear both sides of the story.

A neighbourhood peace is shattered, it’s the middle of the night.
Young faces hide in the shadows, while they watch their father and mother fight.
He says she’s been unfaithful, she says her love for him has gone.
The brother shruggus to his sister and says “looks like it’s just us from now on”

Ohh! We always need to hear both sides of the story.

And the lights are all on, the world is watching now
People looking for truth, we must not fail them now
Be sure before you close your eyes
Don’t walk away from here till you see both sides

Please Come Out Tonight – Phil Collins

Please come out tonight I need you here
its been a long, long time and I can’t wait
let’s find out,, let’s see what it’s like out there
if it rains we’ll find somewhere, somewhere dry and warm

You’ll say “my, it’s been a long, long time”
I’ll say “how are you? I’ve been fine”
Please come out tonight, let’s go out and see the world
we can try to find, find somewhere
it seems so long ago, I can hardly remember the time
it’s all I want, it’s all I want, so let’s see what we find

You’ll say “there’s so much you need to know”
I’ll say “are you really sure you have to go?”

We don’t need a reason, no explanations
just stay with me here, tonight
I won’t say a word
I just need you here

Please come out tonight, let’s go out and find ourselves
you can lean your head on my shoulder, remember?

You’ll say “My, is that the time?”
I’ll say “why not stay with me tonight?”

We don’t need a reason
it’s so warm inside
there’s no one between us
if someone comes we can hide
just lay here beside me
just see what it’s like

Please come out tonight
